He heard bursts of beast roars coming from afar and felt surges of powerful auras permeating the surroundings, although his body felt very good right now, he knew that against ferocious demonic beasts, his thin and weak physique was inherently at a disadvantage.
Barehanded, he probably wouldn’t last a single round.
Bruce observed his surroundings carefully, moving forward cautiously while formulating a plan, he understood that facing these demonic beasts head-on with his current strength was not wise, he began searching for usable resources around him.
Scanning the ground, he noticed scattered rocks of various sizes and shapes, his heart stirred, crouching down, he picked out a few massive stones with suitable shapes, he first tried to smash them with his bare hands, but the results were far from ideal.
These rocks were too hard, Bruce frowned, even smashing two rocks against each other only left behind a few dents, not the result he wanted at all.
Suddenly, he thought of a solution.
He looked at a tall tree nearby, placed a large rock at its base, wrapped another massive stone in cloth, hoisted it onto his back, and began to climb, carrying the heavy boulder, Bruce carefully scaled to the top, standing on a high branch, although nervous, his heart was filled with determination, he took a deep breath, gripped the boulder tightly, and hurled it toward the ground with all his might.
With a loud bang, the boulder crashed into the stone below.
Bruce slid down and ran over, the two massive stones had shattered into palm-sized fragments, a flash of joy crossed his eyes, this method actually worked, he repeated the process, shattering all the large rocks in the vicinity.
Looking at the ground littered with crushed stone, Bruce was extremely satisfied, he immediately began grinding and shaping them.
Before long, a pile of weapon-suitable stones had accumulated beside him, picking out the two largest and sharpest, Bruce used vines to bind them to wooden sticks, two crude spears were complete, he sharpened the smaller stones and bound them to short, sturdy twigs, finishing a batch of primitive arrows.
The last thing he needed was a bow.
Bruce looked around and locked his gaze on a curved, resilient sapling, he approached carefully and tested the trunk’s elasticity, feeling satisfied, he snapped the sapling, using vines to secure both ends into a bow shape.
A crude bow and arrow set was complete.
He notched an arrow, drew the bowstring into a full moon, and released, the arrow shot out, embedding itself in the tree trunk ahead, not very deep, but it dealt actual damage.
Gripping his bow, arrows, and spears, a resolute light flickered in Bruce’s eyes, though primitive, these were sharp tools for survival, in this perilous forest, having no weapons meant having no protection.
After double-checking his equipment, he stepped forward, venturing deeper, the true trial had just begun.
Deep within the forest, demonic beast roars rose and fell like a grand, imposing symphony.
"The demonic beasts here seem much more irritable than the ones outside." Bruce frowned, treading carefully, ready to deal with danger at all times, he used his crafted weapons to repel several small beasts attempting to close in, buying precious breathing room.

Meanwhile, outside the Mysterious Yellow Great World, inside a temporary military tent.
The Book Saint Liber, Adam, the Demon Lord, the Human Saint, and other Saints gathered around a large round table.
"Then it is decided. Adam will be the commander of Heaven-Sealing Pass, and its very first Pass Lord." Liber announced slowly.
The crowd nodded, no one voiced objections, whether in strength or capability, Adam was exceptionally outstanding, since he designed the World Protection Barrier, it was entirely logical for him to serve as Pass Lord.
Adam sighed and had no choice but to agree, he had argued his case, but to no avail, he truly was the most suitable person for this position.
The World Protection Barrier couldn’t be without weakness, at its core, it was still a formation, and a formation’s most vulnerable point was its core, they needed to construct Heaven-Sealing Pass here to defend against the Heavenly Court and the Evil God.
"Heaven-Sealing Pass will be under your full authority, Adam, even if it is an order from me, as long as it is unreasonable, you have the right to refuse it," the Book Saint continued.

"You also have absolute control over the defending troops within the pass." The Book Saint believed in Adam, he knew Adam would never betray them.
"Alright, then I will say a few words." Adam nodded, surveying the crowd, and spoke in a deep voice.
"Since I have been chosen as Pass Lord, I will go all out to protect the peace of the Mysterious Yellow Great World, I know deeply that Heaven-Sealing Pass exists to resist the Heavenly Court and the Evil God, even the slightest loophole will bring massive disaster."
He paused before continuing. "However, constructing and guarding this pass is no easy task, it requires the full support of everyone here, I hope we can work together to face the challenges ahead."
"Therefore, when I issue orders, I expect them completed flawlessly, not with shoddy, half-hearted work, I know everyone seated here is a Saint and wouldn’t make such mistakes, but I hope you will impress this upon your subordinates as well."

Adam’s voice wasn’t loud, but it was powerful and incredibly stern, due to his background in artifact forging and alchemy, he knew that a single detail could dictate success or failure, he was relatively harsh.
The Saints nodded slightly, they knew Adam was right.
The Book Saint took over. "I hope Heaven-Sealing Pass can become an impenetrable fortress for our Mysterious Yellow Great World, not only capable of fending off external enemies, but also serving as a beacon of light and hope in the hearts of the people of the Mysterious Yellow Great World, as long as Heaven-Sealing Pass stands, they will not be threatened by the Heavenly Court or the Evil God."
