Chapter 485

"I still need to go check, just in case there are any loopholes!" Adam smiled.

"Alright, Young Master, please be careful, I’ve already reached the Eighth Heaven of the Deity Realm, tomorrow, the Sect Master and I are going to rebuild the Sword Sect and call back all our senior brothers and sisters who were forced to scatter and flee!" Cecilia said, excitement flashing through her beautiful eyes.

She had waited for this moment far too long, back then, their strength was insufficient, and they were forced to disband, all the disciples had felt incredibly aggrieved.

But now things were different, their strength had grown, and the Nova and Ash clans were no more.

"That’s good, it is time for the Sword Sect to be rebuilt, now that we are the masters of our own house in the Mysterious Yellow Great World, there shouldn’t be any danger either." Adam nodded, feeling deeply moved.

So much time had passed, so many things had happened, and they had braved so many dangers, but fortunately, their luck wasn’t bad, they had survived and grown remarkably strong.

"When you officially reopen the sect, send me a message on the communication talisman, I will come to attend." Adam smiled.

Back then, the Sword Sect had suffered heavy casualties protecting Cecilia, Adam had never had the chance to repay them, but now he was going to return that favor.

"Okay, Young Master." Cecilia’s eyes curved into crescent moons with her smile, she was greatly looking forward to that day.

After chatting a little while longer, Adam departed.

Aside from inspecting the World Protection Barrier, he needed to see if any of the Evil God’s traps had slipped through and could still transmit evil thoughts.

...

Inside a small, exquisite temple.

"Hmm? No major issues!" Adam finished inspecting a deity statue and sealed the black orb inside, however, solemnity lingered in his eyes.

Although the connection between the Evil God and the black orbs had been severed, the orbs’ functions were still active, they could continue absorbing evil thoughts from people’s hearts.

That made things troublesome.

The stubborn and insidious nature of human evil thoughts was something all cultivators were unwilling to touch, at best, they caused inner demons, at worst, cultivation deviation and demonic possession.

Even powerful Saints who could stabilize their Dao would be affected, this was a power that targeted the mind and heart.

Adam had read extensively but found no effective method to perfectly purify evil thoughts, he had no idea how many orbs he had sealed already, keeping them around was a massive hidden danger, to say nothing of all the others still hidden inside deity statues across the world.

Adam pulled out his communication talisman and sent a message to Sevan, their new mission was to sweep for the black orbs, seal them, and send them via teleportation formation.

Although Sevan and the others couldn’t sense the orbs inside statues, they could use a brute-force method, smashing them open one by one, so long as they prepared identical replacements beforehand.

When it came to spirit stones, that was the one thing they lacked the least.

Sevan responded quickly, Adam put away his talisman, and his figure vanished as he teleported to the next location, he needed to work with Sevan, these orbs had to be sealed as quickly as possible, if someone accidentally discovered one, it would cause massive trouble.

Adam stepped out of the teleportation formation, a salty sea breeze instantly brushed against his face.

He looked at the azure ocean before him, the seaside this time?

Extending his divine soul, he searched for the worship site in this small seaside village.

Very soon, he discovered a deity statue on a cliff by the sea, carved in the likeness of a woman holding an abundance of fish, it likely symbolized bountiful harvests and safe voyages.

Adam’s figure vanished, and in the next second, he appeared right before the statue.

...

"Oh? There is one."

He sensed the fluctuation of evil thoughts within the deity statue, extending his hand, brilliant light materialized in his palm as he prepared to extract the black orb.

Suddenly, he looked back, he sensed a large group of villagers aggressively marching over, wielding harpoons, shovels, and hammers.

Adam frowned, recalling his last encounter, could these villagers be controlled by the Evil God too?

But the World Protection Barrier was erected, the Evil God’s control should have been rendered ineffective, then why were they coming to stop him? Could there be a loophole?

Adam’s expression turned grave, if there was one loophole, there could be many more, given the Evil God’s eerie nature, this could become a massive hidden danger, he had to investigate immediately.

He stepped forward, sword scabbard in hand, preparing to knock them unconscious again.

Suddenly, a small figure appeared in front of the villagers, gripping a wooden stick in his tiny hands, face full of determination.

"You are not allowed to go over there." the little boy’s voice was full of childish innocence.

Adam was taken aback, could this boy not be influenced by the Evil God? This unexpected situation made him hold back, concealing his figure, he decided to observe first.

The little boy’s clothes were tattered and ill-fitting, far too small for him.

"I won’t let you pass, you cannot destroy the deity statue." He held the stick horizontally across his chest, ready to attack.

"Bruce, step aside, that is no deity statue, it was polluted by the Evil God long ago, step aside." From the crowd, an old man with dark brown skin, weathered by wind and sun, stepped forward.

"Village Chief, please don’t, that was carved by my parents, don’t do it, the Evil God has already left, it won’t be an Evil God anymore." The little boy shook his head vigorously.

"The Evil God has left for now, but what if it comes back? Can you guarantee it won’t? You two, move Bruce out of the way." the Village Chief ordered sternly.

"Yes." Two sturdy men stepped out from the crowd.

"No, no, I won’t let you pass." The little boy frantically swung the stick in his hands, chaotic and disorganized, but carrying a bit of strength.
