I have never held a belief in the existence of deities. Even if someone were to claim that the creatures of Loch Ness are pets owned by Martians, they would likely seem more credible to me than Jehovah and Lao Tzu. This perspective of mine might genuinely irritate the gods, or perhaps a particular god is attempting to sway me into recognizing their existence. Clearly, they have been successful. I am beginning to harbor doubts. When I attend church, I find myself bowing my head with reverence and observing a monk. I bring my hands together in prayer. If I were to visit the Taoist temple, I would likely also light an incense stick and make a wish. It could very well be a creation of extraterrestrials. They might have viewed me as a "faithful atheist" and provided me with an opportunity to experience it. The star gates in Somalia might actually need to be secured to stop those aliens from descending to Earth for mischief—if such a phenomenon truly exists.
