For the last sixteen years since Asakawa Riku arrived in Tokyo, he has been on a quest to find evidence of extraordinary abilities. However, this world lacks a system, magic, spiritual energy, and any means to achieve immortality. Feeling disheartened, he made the decision to abandon this pursuit and live as a typical high school student starting today, when he stumbles upon his first peculiar incident. Monsters, evil spirits, malevolent entities, unimaginable crimes, murderers beyond belief, and ultimately unsolvable locked rooms... From this moment forward, a succession of strange occurrences begins to surround him. Accompanying him are a spirit medium girl who asserts she can harness the power of shikigami, and a detective girl who claims to wield superpowers to crack cases.
